What may have been non issues for some, or big deals to others, may be the 
opposite to you.

As with all releases, study the "Memo to Users" intently.  If -you- think 
that something there sounds too drastic and IBM must have meant something 
else, re-read it.  You may be right, but, then again, you may not.  I 
think V5R3 did a fairly good job of obfuscating how drastic the CCSID 
changes were to the IFS and their effect on CPYTOIMPF, etc.
