Hi: The common short form of "cumulative" used on this list, minus the "e," is just Latin for "with." In 18th through 20th Century English it was often used untranslated to mean "along with." The novel "Star Rangers" by Andre Norton, which I read and re-read as a youngster, has an example. A racist member of a starship crew calls a human who hobnobs with the reptiloid Zacathanians, "Bemmy c u m animal lover" or, "lover of Bug Eyed Monsters along with other animals." As an English King said, in bad Old French I think and probably misspelled by me, "Honi soit qui mal e pense" -- evil is to him who evil thinks. In the current vernacular it would come out something like, "It only matters if you have a dirty mind." Unfortunately, the current crop of firewalls and SPAM filters has, collectively, a mind that is both dirty as a pigpen and dumb as a brick. Darrell Darrell A.
