Thanks. I have received permission to reboot during lunchtime here. Then
I'll install the cume and everything else to apply during tonight's
reboot.

I think so but you've got to arrange the CUM apply the right way. I
removed the PTF from one system last week then applied the CUM. When
the system IPLed none of the 5722ss1 PTFs would apply because MF39123
was supposed to be perm applied before one of the ptfs in the CUM could
apply. That's why I'm removing the PTF first then applying the CUM
later. According to what I've read you have to SLIP the LIC if MF39123
is perm applied.

I've got it flagged to be removed when I reboot. I just wonder if I
have
to reboot just for that one, or if I can install all the ptf's and
have
everything handled properly with one reboot.

I'm removing that one on all of my systems before I apply the CUM.

The defective PTF document is SF98088 at:
http://www-912.ibm.com/s_dir/sline003.nsf/2d3aff1c6b4d6ce086256453000d97

The bad Cume was actually C6101530. FWIW I installed C6142530
the
"normal" way on both of our boxes and those defectives were not
applied
or even marked as superceded.

Does anybody still have the link to those defective PTF's
that
need
to be
removed prior to putting on cumulative PTF C6142530?
The cover letter on this CD says nothing about removing
anything
Thanks
