What happens is that a lot of people don't want to create a share on this directory, or that directory. So they end up creating a share called ROOT against the /root directory. Then they can drill down to various directories including: - Various regular IFS directories - QDLS - QOpenSys - QOPT - QSYS.LIB All of which have their own unique set of rules.
