You have to tell the "device" level description to start with TCP/IP. If you do WRKNWSSTS and then find the last item in the string it will be a *NET. I have a 4812 IXS that is in a new i5. Whenever the system IPL's, this guy fails to come online. I can start it from the command line but I'd rather it start at IPL time.
