Thanks Scott. What if the backup was backing up the actual object while
someone was accessing it (NOT backing it up) via a symbolic link? Wouldn't
that cause a conflict?

I wonder, too, about that directory. I notice that he might be getting a
little too granular. Like why not just omit the whole
'/QIBM/USERDATA/HTTPA/ADMIN/LOGS/*'
directory in:
('/QIBM/USERDATA/HTTPA/ADMIN/LOGS/HTTPADMIN.LOG' *OMIT) +
('/QIBM/USERDATA/HTTPA/ADMIN/LOGS/IIRADMIN.LOG' *OMIT) +
('/QIBM/USERDATA/HTTPA/ADMIN/LOGS/JASPER.LOG' *OMIT) +
('/QIBM/USERDATA/HTTPA/ADMIN/LOGS/JK.LOG' *OMIT) +
('/QIBM/USERDATA/HTTPA/ADMIN/LOGS/JVMSTDERR.TXT' *OMIT) +
('/QIBM/USERDATA/HTTPA/ADMIN/LOGS/JVMSTDOUT.TXT' *OMIT) +
('/QIBM/USERDATA/HTTPA/ADMIN/LOGS/SERVLET.LOG' *OMIT) +
