Stopping it is not a good thing.  (Neither is suicide, but fixing is while
time consuming is OK, but "suicide is painless".  It will (usually
re-recover itself, but it may take longer.  Some questions:

When was the last time you did the last one?
Was it on the same processor (w/o an upgrade - CPU or memory)?
Have you had significant damage since then like:
      Power loss unprotected?
      Abnormal termination?
      Fire, flood ax attack?
      DASD failure without recovery (just got up and run?
      Did you check the QRCLSTG data area before starting?  Was it on the
same serial number?
