I agree with you Charles.  I have the documentation from Scott and I just 
wanted to do this differently, all from a CLP, not using an RPGLE.  You 
know, trying to learn and explore.  I do have programs that are currently 
reading the IFS using his examples and they work great.  I just do not 
rest in the same way of doing things all the time.
