<snip> I have vague memory of some 400 command that creates source code needed for some physical object. I think we have used it on configuration objects, to setup something the same way as something else. </snip> That was RTVCFGSRC. We have it in our backup CL. Has nothing to do with DDS. Ok, so you do DDS a lot when working with BPCS. Who doesn't? That doesn't preclude you from using iNav's tool to retrieve the SQL definition of a file. So you have one file that is created with SQL. No big deal. However, I think you may be barking up the wrong tree. If the other machine is an iSeries I strongly recommend against using direct PF transfer with FTP. I strongly recommend saving it into a save file, sending that in BINary method, making sure the save file exists on the remote system first (or the PUT makes it a PF and not a SAVF), ... oh here's the script quote rcmd crtsavf mylib/mysavf quote rcmd clrsavf mylib/mysavf bin put homelib/mysavf mylib/mysavf quote rcmd rstobj myobj mylib dev(*savf) savf(mylib/mysavf) quit I put the extra CLRSAVF in there in case the save file existed prior to the CRTSAVF to avoid the "Hey, do you want to clobber the data?" message.
