Sorry, forgot to mention that it's V5R3. Yeah, I know on z/OS we have the commands that are in V5R4 (usually don't see the mainframe first on things like this). I did see that V5R4 seems to really bring COBOL up to snuff on XML. I was just wondering if there were any cool tools that I hadn't seen yet rather than trudging along this path. I might just tell her to hold off because I was planning V5R4 sometime this fall anyway. Thanks
from: rob@xxxxxxxxx subject: Re: XML, COBOL, and files I know you said COBOL, but V5R4 added some nice stuff to RPGLE to write XML directly. Don't know if they did anything with COBOL in V5R4. Have a gent here who has used the XML tools early on. Soon as we put V5R4 on our development box and he saw what they did with RPG he was chomping at the bit to get V5R4 on our production box. Now that we do, he's quite happy. Rob Berendt -- Group Dekko Services, LLC Dept 01.073 PO Box 2000 Dock 108 6928N 400E Kendallville, IN 46755 http://www.dekko.com
