I just reviewed the Introduction and Planning Guide for Infoprint Server 
for iSeries (G544–5774.
It shows using Host Print Transform function to translate ASCII streams, 
including PDF files, and sending them to non IPDS printers. Are you 
creating PDF files with another product?
