Thank you for your response. I am aware of the option's Excel provides for sending & receiving data to and from the AS/400. I apologize for not being clear. The solution I was looking for was perhaps an Excel macro that would not only save keyed in data in ' .csv ' format, send it to perhaps an 'IFS' folder then initiate an AS/400 job to process the transmitted data. Thank you, in advance, for any help you provide, Rene -----Original Message----- From: midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of rob@xxxxxxxxx Sent: Tuesday, September 05, 2006 10:12 AM To: Midrange Systems Technical Discussion Subject: RE: prob: to convert data from an excel sheet ontothe as400environment. I guess it depends on your definition of "Excel & AS/400 techniques". The one link I pasted had a function in Excel that would transfer data to the iSeries. The other link allowed you more granularity, and an ability to control the flow from your iSeries, using programming on the iSeries. Rob Berendt
