I also found http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l/200102/msg00737.html
in the archives, which is basically the same information, with an added
list of which meta-services use which low-level services. It lists ODBC
and OLE/DB, but not the .NET provider. I'm going to assume that the .NET
provider uses the database connection just like ODBC and OLE/DB since it
shows up the same on the iSeries. 

I'm going w/the assumption I need TCP/8476 for authentication, TCP/8471
for data access, and TCP/23 for emulation.

If anyone knows any additional ports the .NET provider needs I'd
appreciate hearing about it.
