Staying a private company sure helps. Actually, what testing are you doing to make sure that you do NOT need new ptf's? You could be running fat, dumb and happy at one level of ptf's for months until you stumble into a problem. And many of us run different hardware for our test boxes than for our live boxes. Therefore some MF ptf that is platform specific wouldn't truly be tested, right? Maybe even some MH ptf's. Do you have a test script that would at least appease the auditors that you are doing something to test? For example, as part of the on going process for problems here, when we open a ticket we evaluate whether or not this needs to be added to a test script for a new release. Like, testing directory /tmp for file deletion. Certain combinations of SQL statements. And God knows, some QNTC access. Auditors love a documented process. Rob Berendt
