Good point about the number of machines, Mike I just got off the phone with one of the maintenance managers for the Baltimore County School System. He's been running the same application software on OS/400 since 1993. He needed to get a different machine about 3 years ago due to an application software upgrade because his version of the OS would not support the new code. He was running an E45! When I went there to install the newer machine, he told me that the old one hadn't been rebooted since they installed it. The M$ weenies convinced the other maintenance groups for the county to install a new package (written with Access). He told me that the county is having to build a new data center because there is no way they can add more servers to the current room with the cooling capacity they have there. His iSeries is sitting in a closet next to his office. :-))
