We always "bind to specific address" our domino servers. We use a
separate IP address for each of our Domino partitions on each lpar. Trying
to tell each ldap client to use a special port is a joke solution. When
you have 11 Domino partitions running on one lpar you end up using 12 ip
addresses. One for each dpar and one for the lpar itself. Sure makes it
easier for each domino client to attach to a specific server than to
record a specific port number to use when talking to such and such a
service on such and such a server. Searching on "bind" and "specific"
will help you out greatly.
