There is also a whole pile of recommendations for ECS and ESA on the "recommended PTFs" page that you might want to check:
ECS: http://www-912.ibm.com/s_dir/slkbase.nsf/ibmscdirect/C09C154912C61F0A86256EDA0053BE9B or here: http://tinyurl.com/euur2 ESA: http://www-912.ibm.com/s_dir/slkbase.nsf/ibmscdirect/38A43672893A998486256ED0005A0838 or here: http://tinyurl.com/6ke5p Hope this helps.----- Original Message ----- From: Jim Franz

If I display list of ptf's (sample): PTF ID Requested PTF Save File Image MF36985 No No MF38313 No No MF38494 No No MF38668 No No ... more No save files, no image file - it's like it downloaded "nothing". The above files, like QMF36985 do not exist on the system. Opt 5 (Display Details) on above items returns strange msg: String 'V3R M ) SE' contains a character that is not valid. Error found on *N command. This is a V5R3M0 i5 system with cume 6142 installed and Svc Agent group 17. Jim----- Original Message ----- From: "Jim Franz" <franz400@xxxxxxxxxxxx>

I did a sndptford with link type *any, and ordered several groups. Was expecting a dvd shipment, as it did the last time I ordered same groups, and for the cume I had ordered earlier today. It started downloading a 196 meg file (over fractional T1), about 25 minutes. Would never have run during production time if I knew it would choose to download. Where can I control what an acceptable download size is, or is that in IBM's control?
