Sorry... I guess I chose a bad week to give up smoking. :), Ken -----Original Message----- From: midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of rob@xxxxxxxxx Sent: Tuesday, September 19, 2006 10:23 AM To: Midrange Systems Technical Discussion Subject: Re: SOLVED: MORE: Object changed during IPL Little harsh there fella. And as many postings as you've done, sometimes we overlook the obvious. And, it is the week of COMMON so responses are down. Pressing F1 while using the DSPOBJD command yields: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -- Change Date/Time - Help For most objects: Indicates the date and time of the last change to the object. For database files: Indicates the date and time that the object was first modified after a SAVLIB request. If the data is changed again, the change is not reflected on the DSPOBJD command until another SAVLIB request is processed and the data is changed again. You can use the Display File Description (DSPFD) command to show the last change date and time value to find out when each member of the file was modified. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -- ... Therefore OS/400 is recording the changed date/time of the first I/O after a SAVLIB. Unfortunately, midrange list members either didn't know this or didn't care enough to answer my post with the obvious. Thanks to those of you who did try to help... Rob, Rich and Wayne , Ken Slaugh
