My issue is with the current release of Help Systems Robot Schedule. It's security setup is very good - but it doesn't recognize supplemental groups. So, in too many cases, you have to list individuals, since you can't change the main group profile... OTHERWISE, I like 'em... -----Original Message----- From: midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of AGlauser@xxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Thursday, September 21, 2006 10:39 AM To: Midrange Systems Technical Discussion Subject: Supplemental groups = bad? What is it about groups that everyone dislikes so much? AFAIK, the concept seems to work pretty well for Unix-type systems, and if I understand correctly systems like Active Directory and Novell Groupwise. I haven't had much experience administering large groups of users, so I'm interested to hear from those who have experience with various systems.
