I believe you have to bring the SOQHST file from library SOQLIB created
when you do the save on the 270 over to the 520 in order to do the
restore and for SOQ to pick up the online history. Or maybe just clear
the online history file - it might try to pull the one on the tape - I
forget which way it works. Here is what we use for saving d/r reports
and bringing them back to our production box for storage:

This is done on the production box when restoring d/r reports:
1. CRTDUPOBJ OBJ(SOQHST) FROMLIB(SOQLIB) OBJTYPE(*FILE)
TOLIB(library) DATA(*YES) - saves a copy of the production online
history
2. CLRPFM SOQLIB/SOQHST
3. Perform the restore of spool files - RSTOUTQ
4. Copy the file created in step #1 back to SOQLIB

Subject: SOQ restore from one system to another

Need a little help with the great save output queue system from
WorksRight
software. We recently assumed the computer operations of a distributor
we own
that's running a 270 at V5R1. We did this carving out an LPAR on our
V5R3 520
and installing an MPLS (frame relay of sorts).

We already own SOQ on our 520 and got a temporary license from
WorksRight for
saving the outqueues on the 270. Outqueues were saved to a SAVF and
FTP'd to
the 520. Now I can't figure out how to restore them as they aren't in
the on-line
history on the 520. Is this even possible?

Thanks,
