Hi: I was responding to the issue of what is "native". I tried to make it clear (and thought I succeeded) that this didn't really matter except when it came to expectations. Rephrased, "native" is a non-issue unless two things are true: first, that the way something works is different from the way other things of the same kind work when the latter have been integrated into i5/OS/400 for a long time; and second, that a significant reason for that difference is the history of the more recent "arrival". I remind you that I ended my message with a brief summary of my American genealogy, including Iroquois. It ended with something to the effect of, "ALL of whom came from somewhere else". were not "born" in i5/OS/400, so they are not "native".So, RPG and COBOL aren't 'native either?
