Hi, Rob: Meaning, I take it, that it is not possible to set the block size at any of the following points: configuration of "from" tape device initialization of tape in "from" tape device copy of files to (what will be) "from" tape device And, if you surprise me by saying that the device can be reconfigured, does that impact the readability of previously created backups? Sounds like I'm in hot pursuit of a large undomesticated waterfowl. Thanks for trying. Darrell Darrell A.
