We backup production data lib's nighly by submitting jobs from the job scheduler at times best suited per app (least activity). We use SavAct(*LIB) since there's almost always someone in at least one of the libraries. Weekly (Sunday 6:00am) we bring the system to a resrticted state and do a Go Save - option 21. Takes about 2 hours and we've educated the users that the system will be unavailable during that time.
