Don,

When you say "entire IFS" are you to mean ALL files systems including
qsys.lib?  Or are you more concerned about things outside of the traditional
library file system?  If you are mostly concerned about other folders you
could simply do some FTP scripts from your windows machine and save it all
that way.  Note that once logged in via FTP you will need to execute the
command QUOTE SITE NAMEFMT 1 to go to the directory format for
putting/getting/listing.  

I am guessing there are some solid examples out there that show how you can
do this from a .NET application.  I did it from Java using some open source
tooling and created the following open source app that can be downloaded
from my site: http://mowyourlawn.com/blog/?p=15.  The main difference here
is that I am pulling data from source physical files.

I am thinking I could put it on my list of next open source initiatives to
create a simple GUI app to schedule IFS backing up of data via FTP by simply
expounding upon what I already have.  Let me know what you would like for
features in something like that and I will see what I can put together in
the next couple months.
