Hi, We all know that CPYFRMSTMF command is used to copy data contained in stream file reside in the current working directory (from AS/400 Root folders) to database file member (AS/400 PF's). Normally we take text files (tab delimited, normal txt files), csv files etc. Earlier this was possible with shared folders alone using CPYFRMPCD command. On usage we found there is a subtle difference between these commands with respect to Text files on Tab Delimiters. My question now is 1) Is there any command which can work (same as CPYFRMPCD) independent of text files that it is tab delimited or not and copy from root folders to PF. 2) Are there any API's or other mechanisms where we can find the type of file (e.g .TXT file) I am going to get from root folders and then derive if it is tab delimited text or not.
