Paul, Does the 3500 do PCL? If it doesn't there's no way to make it work. I ran into this with a HP Color LaserJet 3600. First HP printer I bought in six years that doesn't do PCL, which was a surprise and a big disappointment. I've bought a good 30 HP printers over the years but I've soured on HP just like James has. If you want a truly outstanding color laser printer, buy a Xerox Phaser 7750. Pricey but worth it. The printer support page lists it. Are you sure this thing CAN be connected to a 400? Lately, HP has been going to host-based RIPping, something I discovered some years ago when our 3330 arrived, and I found out that it wouldn't take a data stream from our Yestation. As far as I'm concerned, HP's quality has been going into the toilet for a few years now; therefore, my next laser printer is most likely going to be a Xerox 6120/n. -- JHHL -- This is the Midrange Systems Technical Discussion (MIDRANGE-L) mailing list To post a message email: MIDRANGE-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/midrange-l or email: MIDRANGE-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l.
