There are non-twinax impact printers, and that would fit in with what 
they are used to doing.

Does someone actually compare the Original to the driver's returned 
copy?  What are they looking for?  (I ask because I wonder if this part 
of the process could be have some changes, including a paperless 
original?)

Also, that would let you get to two images to print, and that might be 
done side-by-side, on one sheet, perfed in the middle?
