Actually there is something you could do instead of FTP - you could copy the 
members to the IFS and then your PC can see them using a network drive, e.g. 
Here's an example command that puts a copy into the current directory - I think 
you can put a path in front of the name in the TOOBJ parameter.

CPY OBJ('/qsys.lib/vern.lib/qqmqrysrc.file/test.mbr'
    TOOBJ('test')                                   
    TOCCSID(*STDASCII)                              
    DTAFMT(*TEXT)

On the first stage of my conversion project for Query/400 and QM 
queries to source files...Volia!!! What a guy!!! 

I had no source for my QM objects either so am having to create them 
using your same commands. Everyone just created objects and left them 
in the *QXXX "files". Now I have to do all that conversion. Hummm, 
this sounds like a job for REXX!!! 

Then I can do the FTP and the Qxxxx converstion to QMF for 
Windows/Websphere.
