OPENSSH ( secure shell ) is one route. to get an idea what you are

good luck to them. I purchased an rs6000 170 44P via ebay a few months
back. Running the latest AIX 5.3, it takes 5 minutes to boot and is
beyond slow when running the KDE desktop that comes with AIX.
