Agree on the *CNTRLD for other reasons (like killing Domino servers
immediately, etc.). However, the only way you should lose cache data is if you
yank the power out from under the system (no UPS, or UPS failure, or unplug the
system from the UPS). Even a PWRDWNSYS *IMMED is going to take it's time
shutting down (see system value QPWRDWNLMT).

As an extra precaution, for PWRDWNSYS, I would do a *CNTRLD instead of
*IMMED, as this writes all the disk cache out to disk.
As the caches grow larger and larger, a loss of cache info can require a
system reload to repair, so I've been told by an CE. Hence the reason for
the newer redundant cache controllers.

Don't know about the users and trading partners, but on moving day,
ENDSBS *ALL *IMMED

If you're really anal, put a colored dot label on each cable and the card
it plugs into.
Unhook the cables
Pick up the machine and put it in your back seat
Drive to the new location and reattach the cables.

I once tossed a 270 into the back of my Suburban and drove 9 hours to
Tulsa. Plugged everything back in and hit the power button. 20 minutes
later I was working again.
