I think marketing for the iSeries might help, but I'm still not 
sure exactly what that marketing needs to be (although the 
"attack of the servers" ads are pretty good).

I think the "attack of the servers" ads are great, but I think the System 
i ads in that campaign get completely lost in the midst of all of the 
xServer ads in the same ad series. It was a great idea, but there was no 
differentiation between the i series and the x series. As a result, the 
insertion of the i Series ads was a complete waste of money. 

IBM has not effectively marketed the AS/400, iSereis, System i in years. 
For a number of years the story from IBM was that they couldn't/wouldn't 
differentiate between the different servers, but at the same time there 
were plenty of ads for the x Series/Intel servers.

I have seen lip service from IBM about advertising the System i, but I 
haven't seen effective marketing.
