Hello All,

We just got a warning today on our i5 that the cache battery is dying.

That seems to be such an odd component to still be required on the iSeries
with today's technology.

Since everything else is run off the power supply, why would a cache
battery still be needed in today's day and age ? :-)

We've run into this problem regularly starting back from the 170 days.

I'm interested to hear any comments.

Regards,
Richard Schoen
