How is this any better than simply using prepared statements?
In addition to Joe's answers, the other difference is that prepared-statements are in the domain of the web developer, while stored procs are in the domain of the DBA. And joker w/WDSCI can create a web app w/prepared statements, but it takes the correct authority on the iSeries to create a stored proc. -Walden
