Transaction files with batch update are a bit archaic. Why not take advantage of your new system to change the application to perform online updates? Data available now instead of tomorrow.
Because of the nature of the way our customer data is received and how it has to be processed, batch processing is still quite appropriate. A one-day turn-around for our business is very acceptable.
