You might contact richard@xxxxxxxxxxx . I use a product of theirs to go the other way, taking a huge pdf, and splitting into individual pdfs (we get US Postal Signature pdf weekly, where one pdf has thousand of pages, each with a signature). It works well, but does execute on a win server, and have managed to automate the whole process, the pdfs all in our ifs directory. I am actually in need of the same thing you are looking for as well, just have not pursued it.
just a user.

Subject: Taking multiple PDF's and creating one - can it be done on theSystem i?

Is there any way to take multiple PDF files and then have them merged
into one document with multiple bookmarks/tabs with the resulting PDF
file?

We have reporting processes that generate a composite package. In many
circumstances we would like to take several PDF reports and bundle them.

I don't think I can do this process ahead of time - it's not related via
data but effectively related to either the group creating the report or
the group receiving it. We'd like to send one attachment instead of
multiples.
