You could modify the reading of the message data.  If the volume data was 
not what you expected do ... For example here the first letter indicates 
lpar.  Then there's MON, TUE, ... Then there's a number that indicates a 
sequence.  Oh and a number for rotation week.
HMON11 = GDIHQ, Monday, tape 1 of 3, rotation week 1.
