I think I used to have a folder with "template" stmfs, that I would copy to my target folder.... Each of these template STMFs was of the codepage I wanted to target. The CPYTOIMPF command allows you to specify the CCSID from the target file object, as I recall.... I think I generally use 1252 for the STMFs we send to Windows.... hth, Eric -----Original Message----- From: midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Mike Sent: Monday, January 29, 2007 11:35 PM To: Midrange Systems Technical Discussion Subject: PF to CSV on V4R4 I am a bit rusty with these ancient OSes. I need to convert a PF to a CSV file via a CL command. I know CPYTOSTMF and CPYTOIMPF work, but I am getting gobbly-gook (aka garbage) when I display the file through NetServer. I am sure it has to do with CCSID, but I am not sure on what to use. Here is my command(s): CPYTOSTMF FROMMBR('/qsys.lib/mplibr.lib/mppr108pf.file/mppr108pf.mbr') TOSTMF('/reports/mppr108.csv') STMFOPT(*REPLACE) STMFCODPAG(*PCASCII) ENDLINFMT(*CR) Object is not a file or is a file with attributes not supported by this command. Object not copied. CPYTOIMPF FROMFILE(MPLIBR/MPPR108PF) TOSTMF('/reports/mppr108.csv') MBROPT(*REPLACE) TOCCSID(437) RCDDLM(*CRLF)
