It's possible, but you have to reference the column by its ordinal
position, not by name, although you can name the count column for the
resultset.

Would be nice if this worked, but it wont....
Select Jojob, Count(*) as theCount
FROM jrnfile WHERE joentt = 'LD'
Group by Jojob
Order by theCount desc

However, since theCount is the second column you can do this:
Select Jojob, Count(*) as theCount
FROM jrnfile WHERE joentt = 'LD'
Group by Jojob
Order by 2 desc
