True, but I suspect the issue is with "querying data". A HLL program can use "Distributed Data Management" (Not to be confused with Domino Domain Monitoring - both called DDM). However Query/400 or SQL cannot use a DDM file. SQL supports the CONNECT TO clause. To use this, you have to set up WRKRDBDIRE. You'll need a *LOCAL entry on both systems and the remote entry pointing to the other system. Is that the start you're looking for? ps: HLL means High Level Language such as RPGLE or COBOL.
