I would check the *JOBD of the writers. Did someone change them in a previous release, and when you did an upgrade the new *JOBD came from the CDs. What dtaq was it? -----Original Message----- From: MRizzi@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To: midrange-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Tue, 13 Feb 2007 8:53 AM Subject: Mysterious Changes since going to V5R4 Greetings - I have observed a few issues since we have gone to V5R4 and don't recall either of these being mentioned on the list - so any input, thoughts or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. 1- All of our WRITERS changed from *NOMSG to *INQMSG - I manually changed them back and after a recent IPL they all went back to *INQMSG. What should I be looking for to make the change permanent? 2- I had to give the QSYSOPR group *ALL authority to a *DTAQ. Last night this authority was gone. The only thing that happened since last Friday was an IPL over the weekend. I am reviewing the Audit Log to see if someone took away this authority did I miss anything here? An IPL shouldn't change authority should it? I get the list in digest mode so if I don't reply to you promptly I haven't seen your postings yet.
