DB2 is an industry standard RDBMS. Including it's representation on the iSeries. Most RDBMS' have "extensions". Like the iSeries ability to do "traditional record access". So that part of comment I'll just put down to chest thumping and leave that with many of Steve's comments. However, learning the standard way, like querying those SYS* tables can help you. Had to access some data on SQL Server and danged if they didn't have some of the same table names. Rob Berendt
