Because I had issues with my old hardware, I went to Micro Center and
had a machine built for me with the Vista OpSys. ONE of the issues I had
was that Vista wouldn't recognize my old IDE drives. They showed up in
POST, but not in My Computer. LONG story short... It was the drivers for
the motherboard. Downloaded them and all was well!!

Interestingly enough, I have been able to ping all of the machines on
the Network and the XP machines show a graphical icon to the Vista
machine but won't allow me to connect with it across the Network. The
Vista machine doesn't show anything but itself as elements of the
Network. The two XP machines can share files and printers. Maybe
tomorrow we will be able to peal the onion.
