If you're going through that pain, they why mess with the file 
permission's?  Set up your exit point to only allow "for fetch only" 
statements.  Limit what tables can be processed.  However you will find 
that the string parsing can be a flipping headache.  You could restrict it 
to only stored procedure calls and then all the sql statements would be on 
the big iron.  However that WILL lead to frustrated end users because you 
pretty much destroyed their ability to do their own "what if's" on the 
fly.
