You can journal IFS entries (with supported versions of the OS).  Your 
journal receiver program could then process entries for a particular 
directory.

Or, you can use the IFS exit point used by ByteWare to scan any changed 
IFS file for viruses.  If the exit point is called because it's a file in 
your directory then post the bugger.
