Perhaps some people just feel more comfortable having IBM do it and do the 
whole thing.  Remember, there's traditionally two steps:
1 - Add to Raid set
2 - Add to ASP.
(since you are doing raid)

Once you've added to raid, then adding to asp runs pretty quick.  So, if 
you want IBM to run both commands then you'll have to pay them to sit 
around and suck coffee while they wait for the add to raid set to 
complete.

Some people actually understand this, and still don't mind.  Like 20 years 
ago I worked for a consultant.  One client would pay our $45/hour rate to 
update his spreadsheets.  Hey, we were in the same building and he felt 
that his time was worth $200/hr peddling insurance.  Much like the 
argument that Bill Gates would lose money if he stopped to pick up a $100 
bill that was laying at his feet.
