Why not create some views (not indexes)? That way they don't have to know: - That you have to join file A to file B on fields E,F and G. - That the way to calculate on hand is Opening Balance + Receipts + Adjustments - Issues - Does Available mean with, or without, what's committed to orders? - If there is no matching record in file B do I want null values for it's fields or substitution fields? The person who last really brought the system to it's knees using a query tool was the systems person in charge of that application. Therefore it isn't just users that are the culprit. Rob Berendt
