Nope.

When I press system request, the column seperators appear at the bottom of the
screen but it seems to ignore anything I enter.

Unfortunately, I don't have that option. I can't create additional user

You could replace that ENDPASTHR with
SIGNOFF ENDCNN(*YES)
That works for both ending a telnet, and for ending a STRPASTHR session.
We do a
CRTDUPOBJ OBJ(SIGNOFF) FROMLIB(QSYS) OBJTYPE(*CMD) NEWOBJ(ET)
CHGCMDDFT CMD(ET) NEWDFT('ENDCNN(*YES)')
So ET can "go home".

We have a profile that does nothing but try an ENDPASTHR and, if that
doesn't work, a SIGNOFF.

Not that I can think of. If you used telnet you could do an Attn, then
an
option 99.

Note: That was Attn, not SysReq.

Ending a passthrough session before signing on

On some occasions I have used passthrough to connect to a system only
to
find out hat I can't sign on for one reason or another. Is there a way
to
end the passthrough session from the signon screen and return to the
original system without completely ending your job? System request
doesn't
do anything.

Thanks,

Albert
