Rob This has never been an issue here - we typically DON'T EVER give vendors or other temporary user's any authority that can hurt us down the road. The vendors that require a higher level of access are assigned permanent userids that we monitor and lock down manually. You can also choose to have the CHGEXPSCDE do a *DELETE on the profile if you choose - (pretty dang scary!)
