I sure hope they are. No one should even consider opening iSeries Access and Netserver ports to the Internet. Ideally, no ports would be opened except those that are strictly needed to deliver services Internet-facing services (80/443 for HTTP/HTTPS for instance). Opening up telnet, Netserver, ODBC, and so on to the Internet is asking for a lot of problems even on a tightly locked down machine. If remote access is needed, place a VPN concentrator in the data center.
