Dan,

Depends on what you mean by modernizing. There should be plenty of
experiences with people modernizing their existing code base. In our
shop we don't do that but we have utilized a number of new applications
from scratch utilizing WAS so if you are interested in more details you
can email me.

Hi Midrangers,

Apologies in advance, if this is the wrong forum for this post!

Recently, I was speaking with a customer & they were interested in
utilizing
Websphere with their AS/400 (to modernize it), but their impression was
that
while there was loads of marketing info available, their BP did not seem
to
be able to produce any current users for them to speak with (about their
experience/success, etc.).

I know very little about the topic (and I am not interested in selling
it),
but I wondered if those of you that do have the knowledge could point me
to
some resources that would be beneficial for her.

Thanks,
Dan
